SUNDAY, JANUARY 26
Women’s Self-Defense
2 – 4 pm
7-Star Phoenix
Learn practical techniques for self-defense, as well as psychological factors, because…
If we’re not psychologically prepared to defend ourselves, the physical skills won’t help as much as we would hope.
Master Tanisha will share how she knows that from her DVSA survivor experience, and what to do about it!
(P.S. After the workshop, at 4:30, you may also be interested in hearing more about her story when she reads from her 150 Husbands memoir in the works and discusses awareness around abuse from a self-defense aspect. Learn more about this event here.)

Omei Mountain Yin Dagger Training***
12:30 – 2:30 pm, at 7-Star Phoenix
Have you seen a kung fu movie where the “white eyebrowed monk” is evil?
Or maybe Kill Bill?
These characters are based on Pai Mei, a real Shao-lin monk who found himself in a tough situation that ended with him being branded a renegade and a traitor.
In order to defend himself, he had to create a system effective enough to withstand the vast knowledge and skill of the rest of Shao-lin!
This dynamic Yin Dagger form is part of the result of his development.
Bring a dull training dagger or purchase one at 7-Star Phoenix.
You may also borrow a rubber knife.
(***register for $50 or get 10% off for all three (Eagle Claw, Fan, Dagger))
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 2
